Darius Garland made sure the Cleveland Cavaliers would not lose their first two home playoff games — one first-half point at a time. The fourth-year point guard set the tone against the New York Knicks in Game 2 of the First Round as he had second thoughts about a drive to the hoop, instead stopping short and connecting on one of his game-high six 3-pointers. Garland erupted for 26 points in the first half as the Cavs built a 20-point lead and never looked back, finishing with 32 on the night to go with three rebounds and seven assists in the 107-90 victory on April 18, 2023 to help his squad even the series.
