Playing a fourth game in five days didn’t deter Adam Morrison from having the best performance of his career. The third overall selection in the 2006 NBA Draft went to work in the post against future Indiana Pacers All-Star Danny Granger, using a combination of strength and smooth footwork to gain an advantage on the low block. Following a few lateral dribbles against the capable defender, Morrison made his move and swished a difficult turnaround jumper with his right hand while drawing the foul. The Pacers had no answers for the 2006-07 All-Rookie Second Team forward, who lit them up for a career-high 30 points — 9 of 17 from the field and 10 of 11 at the stripe — along with six rebounds and two assists in a 113-102 Charlotte Bobcats victory on December 30, 2006.
