The two-time Denver Nuggets MVP made the improbable look easy against the LA Clippers as he impacted the game in his usual variety of ways. Jokić scored on soft-touch layups and difficult post-ups with space created by his nimble footwork while mixing in a tough fadeaway with a Clippers defender draped all over him. The five-time All-Star — who averaged a career-best 9.8 assists per game in 2022-23 — also put his elite facilitating on display, whether it was threading the needle into tight windows, a no-look laser that set up a 3-pointer or a steal on the defensive end that led to a transition alley-oop. All told, Jokić posted 40 points on 14 of 21 shooting, 17 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals — his 23rd triple-double of the season and 14th in his past 19 games as the Nuggets secured a 134-124 win on February 26, 2023.
