If you don’t think you can accomplish much in five seconds, Kayla McBride would like a word. The three-time All-Star was cool under pressure in the closing seconds of the first half against the Washington Mystics, intercepting a backcourt pass and draining a pull-up jumper from just inside the arc as time expired. McBride’s exciting shot pulled the Minnesota Lynx to within two points at the break, and the club rallied to win behind her strong game of 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals on July 26, 2023.
