By late-June, the Chicago Sky had evolved into an on-the-rise postseason contender, in large part due to a backcourt lineup overhaul that included elevating Lindsay Allen to starter. Quietly one of the WNBA’s most effective at locating scoring angles in the paint, Allen craftily hangs a two-handed scoop shot over Alanna Smith’s reach to beat the buzzer. Fourth quarter struggles would prompt a loss on June 30, 2024, though Allen nonetheless remained a key factor. Sending the game’s first message, Allen recorded 13 points, all in the first half, alongside six rebounds, seven assists, one steal, two blocks, and three 3-pointers.
