Given only a single practice to get reacclimated, the former All-Star shrugs off both the potential of rust and the Minnesota Lynx’s defense simultaneously, powering through a pick-and-roll with a controlled dribble before blurring past Napheesa Collier for a nifty, off-hand layup. Maintaining in-game shape through a splendid showing on the Athletes Unlimited platform, Sims proved unstoppable in the much-needed upset on June 27, 2024, kickstarting stint No. 3 with Dallas’ franchise in style. Before the ink could dry on the hardship contract she signed just two days prior, Sims was clocked in, lighting up the scoreboards for 18 points (16 in the second half) on 8-of-12 shooting, two rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two 3-pointers.
