Arena staffers had already lined the baselines at AmericanAirlines Arena with the yellow trophy rope, prepared for a San Antonio celebration on Miami's floor. With the Miami Heat trailing 95-92 and 5.2 seconds left in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals, a two-time All-Star and the league's most accomplished three-point shooter was playing one of his quietest nights of the postseason. Nine points. One three-pointer made all game. None of that mattered when LeBron James's tying attempt came off the rim and Chris Bosh outleaped two Spurs to pull down the offensive rebound. Bosh fired it to Allen, who was backpedaling toward the right corner with Tony Parker closing hard. Allen set his feet and let it go, the ball dropping through with 5.2 seconds left to tie the game at 95-95 and turn Miami into bedlam. Miami won in overtime, then won Game 7, and claimed their second consecutive championship. The ten-time All-Star and Hall of Famer finished with nine points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal.
