Creative in his search for ways to guide his shorthanded offense against a top-ranked Boston Celtics defense, the three-time All-Star begins as the aggressor, surveying his options from the left block, with 7-foot-2 Kristaps Porzingis ready to challenge. Quickly running out of real estate after sweeping down the left baseline, Adebayo puts his soft touch to the test, hanging a high-arcing floater over the backboard and through the net for a smooth and-one finish. Despite ultimately falling short of a victory in Game Three, Adebayo routinely overwhelmed the Celtics’ frontline with his inside-the-arc play. Helping captain the offense with their All-Star forward still on the mend, Adebayo contributed a team-high 20 points, alongside nine rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes of play on April 27, 2024.
