For the second time during a transcendent breakout campaign, nobody was stopping Tyrese Haliburton with the game on the line. Patrick Beverley clamped down on the first-time Indiana Pacers All-Star with some tenacious defense, but it didn’t matter as Haliburton used his body and handles to keep Beverley at bay just long enough to get off a 30-footer from way downtown to break a tie with less than three seconds remaining. Haliburton’s second game-winning triple of the season was part of a 29-point, 11-assist effort in which he shot 11 for 17 from the field and 6 for 9 from deep in a thrilling 125-122 road win over the Chicago Bulls on March 5, 2023. Haliburton averaged 20.7 points and 10.4 assists per game in 2022-23, both career-highs.
