On the night Shai Gilgeous-Alexander accepted his second MVP, Wembanyama answered with a performance for the ages. Down three with 27 seconds left in OT, he pulled up from 28 feet to tie it. In the second overtime, he swallowed Jalen Williams' shot at the rim in the final seconds to ice it. His 41 points and 24 rebounds made him the youngest player in NBA history to record a 40-20 game in the playoffs, the first since Wilt Chamberlain in 1960 to do it in a Conference Finals debut, and one of only three players ever to hit 40-20-3 blocks in the Conference Finals or later, joining Shaq and Kareem.
