Making the extra pass is a tried and true sports cliche for a reason: it works. While pushing the transition attack, the Chicago Sky offense seeks to get everybody involved in the play before the right shot reveals itself. In just a few short seconds, all five players on the court touch the ball, with the last, Kahleah Copper, seemingly in line for a drive toward the basket. Sensing a double team in the paint, Copper instead dishes an underhanded scoop pass to two-time All-Star and 2019 WNBA Finals MVP Emma Meesseman, who buries an open jumper just inside the foul line. The Sky dished 23 assists on 31 made field goals in the May 24, 2022 contest, edging the Indiana Fever 95-90.
