The Washington Mystics know as well as any team that moving the basketball is a major key to success. Channeling their best selves, the Mystics pass the ball inside and out in search of the perfect shot. Beginning at the top of the key, Rui Machida fires a pass to a well-guarded teammate in the corner, who dumps the ball into the post to Tianna Hawkins. Out of real estate and sensing a double team lurking, she passes out of trouble to Ariel Atkins. Atkins rewards her teammate’s selfless act with one of her own, setting Hawkins up for a layup in traffic thanks to a smooth bounce pass that fools the Dallas Wings defense on May 13, 2022.
