Respected by the game’s historians for utilizing a before-his-time shooting touch to carve out a lengthy career, Donyell Marshall entered March 13, 2005’s duel against the Philadelphia 76ers with added motivation, knowing the added eyes of family and friends would be tuned in from his home state. No. 9 in the end-of-year Sixth Man of the Year voting for his contributions, Marshall’s final tally oversaw 38 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, and a then-record-tying 12 3-pointers —  10 of which arriving from the corner —  in just 29 minutes. Matching his energy, the Toronto Raptors also cohesively tied the NBA’s previous record of 21 3-pointers in the memorable victory.
