Replicating the types of offensive outbursts that once made him a legend along the Pacific Northwest was always going to be a difficult task for Damian Lillard. But, as the record continues to show, a turn-back-the-clock performance from “Dame Time” always appears to be just a few audacious pull-ups and a late-game scenario away. Just as they did on Opening Night, the Philadelphia 76ers were forced to learn the hard way, starting Lillard’s tried-and-true snatch back dribble, clearing the traffic needed for a spot-on trifecta. The floodgates, evidently, were only just opening, as the Milwaukee Bucks’ star point guard went on a “world tour” of sorts from beyond the 3-point arc, ultimately ending in his second-highest scoring regular-season game over a two-year tenure. A newly-named nine-time All-Star, Lillard illustrated many of the reasons why during February 9, 2025’s win, igniting for 43 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and two steals, on eye-popping efficiency overall (14-of-27), from deep (8-of-15), and on foul shots (seven-of-seven).
