The 2022-23 campaign marked the second-best 3-point shooting season of Tim Hardaway Jr.’s 10-year career. With preceding confidence-inducing defensive plays, it’s easy to understand why. Hardaway Jr. caused a turnover on the defensive end thanks to his active hands, then got into shooting position when the ball landed in Kyrie Irving’s hands. Once Irving found him, a wide-open Hardaway Jr. did not miss. In fact, he barely missed all night, converting 7 of 9 attempts from behind the arc en route to a 24-point performance off the bench while mixing in four rebounds, four assists and two steals in the 120-116 win over the Utah Jazz on March 7, 2023. Hardaway Jr. shot 38.5 percent from downtown on the season.
