Something about playing the Portland Trail Blazers brings out the best in Dejounte Murray. For the second time in just over a month, the Atlanta Hawks guard set a career-high in points, only this time he celebrated the occasion with a win. After hanging 40 points on Portland in a late-January loss, Murray was on the loose again — he first looked to distribute to Clint Capela, but the Hawks center bobbled the ball. No sweat, as the loose ball found its way back to Murray, who beat the shot clock with a 3-pointer over Damian Lillard. Murray erupted for 41 points on 17 of 22 from the field — a flawless 5 for 5 from deep — while adding five rebounds and six assists in the 129-111 win on March 3, 2023.
