Tim Duncan and Manu Ginóbili represent one of the most decorated long-term partnerships the NBA has ever seen. In their 14 seasons together with the San Antonio Spurs, the duo made the playoffs every year, capturing nine division crowns, five conference titles and four championships in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014. There were plenty of individual accolades too, as Duncan made 11 of his 15 All-Star appearances while playing with Ginóbili, not to mention one of his two MVP awards and two of his three Finals MVP trophies. For his part, Ginóbili was twice an All-Star in those 14 seasons and also won the Sixth Man of the Year honor in 2008. Seen in their penultimate season together on the opening night of the 2014-15 campaign, it was the final time Duncan and Ginóbili would enter a new year as defending champions. The pair still had plenty of gas left in the tank while facing the Dallas Mavericks after receiving their rings, combining for 34 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two blocks in a thrilling 101-100 victory on October 28, 2014. Even as grizzled veterans, Duncan’s patented post-up craftiness and Ginóbili’s signature shooting touch helped lead the Spurs to 55 wins that season, their 13th straight postseason appearance together.
