Enter Royce O’Neale, who joined the Nets after spending his first five seasons as a role player with the Utah Jazz. Clinging to a one-point lead in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter, O’Neale takes a pass from Kyrie Irving on the wing and calmly buries a 25-foot dagger to sink the Toronto Raptors and deliver Brooklyn its first victory of the 2022-23 season. O’Neale scattered seven points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in the 109-105 triumph on October 21, 2022.
