Without their top three scorers, somebody needed to step up in the clutch for the Los Angeles Lakers. With the outcome hanging in the balance, Dennis Schröder is the man for the job against the Miami Heat as the veteran point guard takes on all comers on a strong crunch-time drive before finishing with a layup over the fingertips of two defenders. The bucket gave the Lakers a four-point lead with 20 seconds to play and Schröder scored 14 of his season-high 32 points in the fourth quarter, including nine in the final 2:35. Schröder added four rebounds, two assists, four steals and four treys in his squad’s 112-109 victory on January 4, 2023.
