Persistence paid off for Desmond Bane and the Memphis Grizzlies. When the possession initially stalls due to a missed floater by Tyus Jones, Bane doggedly chases down the offensive rebound before whipping a laser to a wide open Jones in the corner, who doesn’t miss again in burying the three-pointer. Bane poured in 28 points on 10 of 12 shooting while also chipping in three rebounds, six assists and two steals in helping the Grizzlies win their 10th consecutive game — a 136-106 decision over the Phoenix Suns on January 16, 2023.
