Tre Jones

Up by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter against the Utah Jazz, the San Antonio Spurs needed a hero when their lead shrunk to three with 30 seconds to play. Good thing they had Tre Jones. The Spurs’ point guard saves his best for last, beating Malik Beasley off the dribble on a determined drive to the basket before finishing with a layup in traffic with 7.1 seconds remaining. Jones’ dagger was part of an 11-point, five-rebound, five-assist performance in the 126-122 victory on December 26, 2022.
