A comeback win over the defending champs was an early-season confidence boon for Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat. When the Golden State Warriors came away with a steal, Adebayo never gave up on the play as he chased down Jordan Poole from behind and pinned his transition layup attempt off the glass with both hands. The Heat rallied from 10 down, and Adebayo’s all-around effort of 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals were a major factor in the eventual 116-109 victory on November 1, 2022. Named an All-Star for the second time in six seasons, Adebayo established career-best averages in minutes and points while starting 75 games and shooting better than 80 percent at the free throw line for the first time.
