P.J. Washington saved his best for last and had a career-best scoring performance to show for it. The fourth-year Charlotte Hornets forward first whisked past Oklahoma City Thunder defensive stalwart Luguentz Dort on the perimeter before taking on all comers on a drive to the basket that ended with a made contested layup. Washington shot a blistering 16 of 24 from the field for a career-high 43 points — 22 came in the final period — along with six rebounds, five assists and a 5 for 9 mark from downtown as the Hornets secured a 137-134 road win on March 28, 2023.
