Scottie Barnes

As one of the more unselfish Rookie of the Year winners in recent memory, Scottie Barnes is willing to do whatever it takes to get a win. The reigning recipient of the award put it all on the line for his Toronto Raptors teammates, first blocking consecutive Chicago Bulls shot attempts on the defensive end before gathering the loose ball and motoring the other way in transition. Barnes capped the gritty sequence by dropping off an assist to an open Pascal Siakam, who dutifully finished with a dunk. Barnes finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four blocks in Toronto’s 104-98 victory on February 28, 2023.
