Whether it was inside or outside, Collin Sexton made waves for the Cleveland Cavaliers as a rookie. The eighth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft showed no fear as he led the transition attack against the Miami Heat, zipping right past Bam Adebayo while going coast-to-coast and finishing with a strong one-handed throwdown. Sexton led the way on offense for Cleveland, shooting 11 for 17 for a game-high 27 points while also mixing in six assists on March 8, 2019. Sexton also made 3 of his 5 3-point attempts in the contest to give him 76 on the season, breaking Kyrie Irving’s rookie franchise record. He was named to the All-Rookie Second Team after averaging 16.7 points and shooting better than 40 percent from downtown while playing in all 82 games for the Cavs.

Josh Hart saved his best game for last to conclude his rookie campaign. The last pick of the first round in the 2017 NBA Draft finished strong as he was guarded by Tobias Harris at the 3-point line atop the key, retreating a few steps backward to gain some extra space before pulling the trigger on a long triple from way downtown that gave the Los Angeles Lakers a commanding 19-point third quarter lead. Hart posted season-highs of 30 points and seven 3-pointers against the LA Clippers, shooting 9 of 15 overall and a sizzling 7 of 9 from deep to go with five rebounds and five assists in his squad’s 115-100 victory on April 11, 2018.
