With the shot clock running low at the end of the third quarter, Harden runs his check off a high screen at the logo, then lets loose from way beyond the arc while his defender recovers. In his first game as a member of the LA Clippers on November 6, 2023, Harden racked up 17 points and six assists.

In his first game with the Houston Rockets, the point guard draws a mismatched defender off of a switch, then retreats back to three-point land for a deep triple. VanVleet scored 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three in the October 25, 2023 contest and added five assists in the process.

After identifying a teammate stuck in a trap at halfcourt, Brooks sneaks into passing range to bail him out, then swiftly steps into a deep three-pointer as the shot clock expires. Brooks finished with 14 points on 4-for-6 shooting from beyond the arc in the October 25, 2023 matchup.

A formidable presence wherever he goes, Deandre Ayton changes the dynamic of the Portland Trail Blazers. Defending his own man in a halfcourt set, Ayton tracks an entry feed into the post, shifts patiently from the help-side and pulverizes a layup. In addition to the rim protection, Ayton hauled in 12 rebounds and collected three steals in his October 25, 2023 debut.

With a hint of deception becoming of a veteran guard, Malcolm Brogdon is going to get to his spots on a basketball court. After advancing the ball up the floor in his first game with the Portland Trail Blazers, Brogdon fakes a dribble hand-off at the top of the key then carves straight to the hoop for a finger roll. Brogdon racked up 20 points and five assists in his first game with the new squad on October 25, 2023.

The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t acquire Max Strus to shoulder their offensive load but the fact that he can when called upon shows why he’s such a valued, versatile forward. In the midst of a red-hot debut, Strus darts past a teammate to accept a hand-off then elevates for a fall-away three-pointer. Strus poured in 27 points on 7-of-13 shooting from beyond the arc and hauled in 12 rebounds in his first game with his new squad on October 25, 2023.

After sizing up his defender well beyond the three-point line, Oubre Jr. attacks a gap, slaloms through multiple Milwaukee Bucks and sinks an off-balanced runner through contact. Oubre Jr. popped off for 27 points in his first game as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers on October 26, 2023, doing so on 9-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 from three.

A rim-running dunk threat since the day he set foot in the league, expect more of the same from Robert Williams III now that he’s a member of the Portland Trail Blazers. In his debut with his new squad, Williams III rolls seamlessly into the paint, corrals a pass from teammate Shaedon Sharpe and throws down a two-handed slam through contact. Williams III finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals in the October 25, 2023 matchup.
