Basketball is a difficult game, so Pascal Siakam and the Toronto Raptors had to work together against the defending champs when the NBA Top Shot Tour made its stop north of the border. Siakam hits a cutting Scottie Barnes for a layup despite heavy traffic in the paint, and Thaddeus Young later turns a steal into two points when he finds an in-transition Siakam for a driving bucket through multiple Golden State Warriors defenders. When Fred VanVleet misfires on a difficult off-balance runner in the lane, an opportunistic Chris Boucher is there to turn garbage into gold with a well-timed putback slam for the NBA Top Shot collectors in the building on December 18, 2022.

Toronto Raptors

Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers had something special planned for the first stop on the NBA Top Shot Tour. Against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, Lillard uses his quickness and a behind-the-back dribble to blow past the defense for an uncontested layup and later avoids a turnover by saving a loose ball into the hands of Josh Hart, who finishes the possession with an alley-oop to Shaedon Sharpe. For an encore, Drew Eubanks turns defense into offense as his blocked shot ends up with Hart, who this time threads the needle with a pass through traffic to an in-transition Jerami Grant for a strong two-handed slam. The Blazers were in perfect synergy all night, treating the NBA Top Shot collectors on hand to a 124-118 victory on December 10, 2022.

Portland Trail Blazers

The Miami Heat hosted an instant classic when the NBA Top Shot Tour rolled through South Beach. Treating the NBA Top Shot collectors to a back-and-forth slugfest between two of the Eastern Conference’s best teams, Victor Oladipo fires a full-court pass to Gabe Vincent for a highlight-reel buzzer-beating trey to end the first quarter. Tyler Herro connects on a stepback jumper for two of his 24 points, and Oladipo puts his teammates first once again when he grabs a defensive board and dials up another long outlet pass — this time to Jimmy Butler, who finishes with a powerful two-handed slam on January 8, 2023.

Miami Heat

Though they may have come up short against the Chicago Bulls, the Detroit Pistons still made sure to put on a show for the NBA Top Shot collectors in the crowd. With the NBA Top Shot Tour making a stop in France for the NBA Paris Game, Isaiah Stewart puts his unselfishness on display twice when the Bulls leave the back door open — first hitting a cutting Hamidou Diallo for an uncontested dunk before later finding Bojan Bogdanović for a baseline slam when the veteran forward gets behind the defense. Saddiq Bey also gets in on the action when he turns a steal into a fast-break throwdown on January 19, 2023.
