Matched up with the favored Las Vegas Aces in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals, Jones refuses to back down, patiently waiting for 2022 Most Valuable Player A’ja Wilson to drive into the lane for a layup attempt. When Wilson blows by the initial defender, Jones stands tall underneath the basket, timing her jump perfectly and using all of her 6-foot-6 frame to deny one of the league’s best players with authority. Although the Aces ultimately prevailed to win the franchise’s first title, Jones proved to be a thorn in their sides, posting 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in the closeout game on September 18, 2022.
