Who can apply?

Any NBA Top Shot community member or group is eligible to apply for funding.


How long does the review process take?

We aim to review applications within 2 weeks.


Can I apply for multiple events?

Yes, you can submit multiple applications, but each will be assessed on its own merit. 


How will the funds be delivered?

Funds will be provided as Top Shot Credit, which is easily transferred and withdrawn.


What are the reporting requirements?

Grant recipients will be required to submit a brief report on how the funds were used and the outcomes of the event.


What metrics will NBA Top Shot track to evaluate the success of events funded by the Community Grants Program?

Metrics will vary by event but may include new user sign-ups, reactivated users, in-person and virtual event participation, unique active users, QR code scans, and feedback scores. These metrics help us gauge impact, and grant recipients will report on relevant KPIs to demonstrate their event’s contribution to community growth or engagement.

NBA Top Shot Community Grants Program - Terms and Conditions

Eligibility: Applicants must be active NBA Top Shot community members in good standing. All applicants are subject to review by the NBA Top Shot community and security teams.

Grant Usage: Funds awarded through Top Shot Credit must be used exclusively for the purpose outlined in the application. Any misuse will result in forfeiture of the grant.

Compliance with Terms of Service: Any accounts found to be in violation of the NBA Top Shot Terms of Service or engaging in prohibited activities will be disqualified from receiving grants.

Right to Refuse: The NBA Top Shot team reserves the right to refuse any application that, in their judgment, may cause brand damage or does not align with the values of NBA Top Shot.

Reporting: Recipients are required to provide proof on how the grant funds were used. Failure to submit proper reporting will result in exclusion from any future grants.

No Retention of Unused Funds: Unused Top Shot Credit may not be kept for personal use or projects outside of the grant application’s stated purpose.

Event Promotion: Any promotion of grant-funded events must follow NBA Top Shot’s brand guidelines and must not misrepresent the platform, its partners, or its community.

Termination of Grant: NBA Top Shot reserves the right to terminate funding at any time if it is determined that the event or initiative is not in compliance with the program’s goals or these terms.

Non-Transferability: Grants and credits are non-transferable and may not be resold or repurposed for any commercial gains outside of the approved scope.

Prohibition of Profit: Profiting in any way from the grant funds or resources provided is strictly prohibited. All funds must be directed solely to the event or initiative as outlined in the grant application.

Amendments: NBA Top Shot reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
