Dejounte Murray and Derrick White have gone from San Antonio Spurs teammates to Eastern Conference postseason foes. With his Atlanta Hawks desperately needing a win over White’s Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the First Round, Murray got the best of his former backcourt mate at the most opportune time. With the Hawks up by three late in the fourth quarter, Murray found himself in a one-on-one battle with White and let it fly, swishing a corner 3-pointer with 1:40 to play. Murray posted 25 points, six rebounds and five assists in the 130-122 victory on April 21, 2023 to pull within 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
