Gabe Vincent and the sharpshooting Miami Heat got hot from downtown just in the nick of time. After dropping Game 1 of the NBA Finals to the Denver Nuggets, the Heat clawed their way back into the series in Game 2 in large part due to Vincent. The undrafted start, mistakenly left wide open, made the defense pay for the lapse by draining a 3-pointer that gave his squad the lead for good with just over 10 minutes remaining in the fourth. The fourth-year guard shot an efficient 8 of 12 from the field, including a pristine 4 for 6 mark from deep to go with three assists and two steals in the 111-108 Miami win on June 4, 2023. The Heat shot a blistering 17 for 35 from beyond the arc in the game, while Vincent buried 9 of his 16 treys over the first two to send the series back to South Beach tied 1-1.
