The Phoenix Suns acquired the 13-time All-Star in hopes of capturing the franchise’s first championship, and early returns have looked promising against the LA Clippers. In Game 3 of a First Round series, Chris Paul came up with a steal on the defensive end and ran the break with Durant, who caught Paul’s pass in stride and coasted through the paint with downhill momentum before finishing with an emphatic throwdown. Durant posted 28 points, six rebounds and five assists as the Suns took a 2-1 series lead with a 129-124 road win on April 20, 2023.
