After scoring just two points through four quarters of play, Nickeil Alexander-Walker sure knew how to pick his spots with the Minnesota Timberwolves facing elimination. The fourth-year guard found his shooting touch when his team needed him the most as he buried 3-pointers on consecutive overtime possessions, including a catch-and-shoot corner triple over Michael Porter Jr. that gave Minnesota a five-point lead. Alexander-Walker’s only two treys of the contest helped the Timberwolves pick up a huge 114-108 win in Game 4 of their First Round Series against the Denver Nuggets, and his eight points and four rebounds were a major factor in avoiding a sweep on April 23, 2023.
