After spending much of Game 1 overcoming the Boston Celtics’ defense by setting up his teammates, it was only right that Giannis Antetokounmpo eventually served one up for himself. Battling tough defense, the Milwaukee Bucks forward uses a shot fake to free himself before tossing the ball off the glass for a self-assist slam dunk. This pushed the Bucks’ lead to 16 with six minutes to go, helping them secure a victory on the road. Antetokounmpo, fittingly, finished with a triple-double, 24 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists and two blocks in the 101-89 win on May 1, 2022.

Full strength or not, few players can change the climate of a game or series the way Philadelphia 76ers big Joel Embiid can. After missing the first two games against the Miami Heat with an orbital fracture, Embiid returned, masked, and on a mission in Game 3. Operating out of the triple threat position, the 76ers star uses a pump fake and a tight dribble, finding space to drain a difficult and-one jumper to ignite the home crowd. This bucket proved to be one of the clinchers, giving Philadelphia a double-digit lead late in the fourth, on the way to a convincing 99-79 win on May 6, 2022. Embiid’s presence cut the series lead to 2-1, with 18 points, 11 rebounds and one block.

In his rise toward superstardom, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has become most-known for his three-point shooting and the fear it strikes in opposing defenses. That said, you don’t become a multi-time NBA champion without knowing how to make critical plays on the defensive end, too. Taking on the challenge of guarding Memphis Grizzlies’ guard Ja Morant with the game down to a single shot, Curry mirrors him perfectly before meeting him at the launch point for a game-saving block. The two-time MVP chipped in with 24 points, five triples, three rebounds and four assists helping the Warriors throw the first haymaker of the series with a 117-116 win on May 1, 2022.

With his team in danger of dropping two series-opening games on their home floor, Ja Morant decided it was time to score by any means, even if it meant putting a defender on that very floor. Trailing 99-98 with under two minutes to go, the Memphis Grizzlies guard calls an isolation before slicing a Golden State Warriors defender with a rhythmic-crossover-half-spin combination before dropping in a floater to give his team a lead they would never again surrender. Morant added to his big-game profile on May 3, 2022, with 47 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in a 106-101 win to tie the series at one game apiece.

With a chance to push his squad’s third-quarter lead to double figures, you know Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker wasn't going to miss. Working in sync with his teammates’ defense, the All-Star guard takes the ball in transition, slowing to read the defense before rising up for a crowd-rocking three-pointer. This proved to be one of the highlights of the Suns’ 33-14 third-quarter run, guiding them to a 110-80 win over the Dallas Mavericks on May 10, 2022. Booker led the way with 28 points, seven rebounds and two steals.

Sometimes, the difference between a star and a full-on superstar can be found through how a player responds in must-win games with the season on the line. Down 3-2 against the defending NBA champions on their own home court, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum showed which type he was in Game 6. Working against a taxing Bucks defense late in the game, Tatum finds an extra gear, rejecting a pick-and-roll on the way to the basket before exploding through with a strong, and-one layup in traffic, pushing the Celtics’ lead to 13 with two minutes to go. Forcing Game 7, Tatum pieced together a 46-point, nine-rebound, four-assist game with seven triples on May 13, 2022.

No matter the age, situation, or defensive coverage, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James makes the game of basketball look effortless. James showcases his world-class athleticism by sneaking backdoor on a cut, turning teammate Malik Monk’s lob into a reverse alley-oop slam to send the crowd into a frenzy. James racked up a 30-point, 12-rebound, five-assist performance on January 19, 2022.

Scottie Barnes is a problem. The Toronto Raptors rookie flashes his do-it-all talent in this possession, taking his defender off the dribble, getting to his spot inside the paint and floating a lefty finish that finds the bottom of the net. Detroit Pistons 2021 draftee Cade Cunningham catches a pass at the arc and immediately blows by his defender and through the lane to lay one in with his left. The 7-footer has a knack for finishing uncanny plays - Mobley makes a strong gather off a Darius Garland dish and hangs through contact to finish his first career and-one.

In a home opener to kick off another potential MVP season, the Golden State Warriors guard pushes the ball up the court and heaves it to a teammate in the corner. The seven-time All-Star hit his first 10 field goals of the night on October 21, 2021, while pouring in 25 of his 45 points in the first quarter alone.

There’s a bright future for rookies with elite creativity on the court. In his NBA debut with the Houston Rockets, first-year guard Jalen Green sprints to catch a pass near the perimeter and continues toward the hoop as several defenders mark him. Meeting Minnesota Timberwolves star center Karl-Anthony Towns at the rim, Green goes up and under in midair for an acrobatic reverse layup - the first bucket of his career - on October 20, 2021.

Just weeks into his NBA career, Josh Giddey has NBA fans and superstars alike buzzing about his movement of the ball. In his first regular season game with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the rook demonstrates masterful handles, simultaneously losing his defender and drawing two more before floating the rock to a teammate for a layup. In addition to his smooth maneuvers on the court, Giddey locked in 10 rebounds in his debut on October 20, 2021.

Making an impact on a playoff-hopeful squad is no easy feat for a rookie — just don’t tell that to Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga. In his NBA debut, the 7th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, catches a behind-the-back bounce pass from teammate Juan Toscano-Anderson and steps back behind the arc to launch a confident three for his first-career bucket. Kuminga walked away with a Warriors win and the game ball on October 30, 2021.

There’s nothing quite like that first-ever bucket in the NBA. For Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves, that moment required a little creativity. Here, against the Phoenix Suns, Reaves punishes an overaggressive closeout before snaking his way into the middle of the lane for a high-arcing leaner over the outstretched arms of a defender. Reaves was efficient, scoring eight points in just 12 minutes in his debut game on October 22, 2021.

In the best season of his career to date, it was only right that first-time All-Star  Andrew Wiggins added some one-of-a-kind postseason highlights to his catalog. Attacking a rotating Memphis Grizzlies defense on a hard close-out, Wiggins finds a runway to the basket before rising up for a rugged, two-handed poster jam all over a Memphis Grizzlies big. Wiggins kept the highlights coming with 16 points and nine rebounds on May 3, 2022.

In a play typically saved for All-Star weekend, Dončić freezes the defense with a behind-the-back combo straight into a cross-court pass, finding Kristaps Porzingis for a crucial three-pointer on the left wing. Dončić led the way with 26 points, 14 assists and seven rebounds during the Mavericks’ 116-106 triumph over the Houston Rockets on October 26, 2021.

Can't stop him, can only hope to contain him! Minnesota has all hands on deck trying to deter reigning NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who instead takes only a few motions to gather, hang & hammer home his own miss.

The ability to make tough shots cannot be taught. Denver Nuggets rookie Bones Hyland shows no fear in going 1-on-1 with his defender and puts on a series of moves, hesitations and fakes. Despite stout defense, Hyland still converts a leaning, one-handed fadeaway going left. That’s tough. The bucket counted for two of Hyland’s seven points off the bench in his NBA debut on October 25, 2021.

With elite bucket-getting abilities, Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas has proven he’s no average rookie. With the fate of his team in his hands, Thomas attacks a hard closeout before calmly draining a game-winning, one-legged leaner to defeat the San Antonio Spurs. Thomas chipped in 11 points and six rebounds in the 121-119 overtime win on January 9, 2022.

In a Game 7 against the reigning NBA champions, the best players are prepared to dig deep into their bag of tricks to find ways to score. Creeping between the Milwaukee Bucks defense on a cut, Jaylen Brown shows how it’s done, recognizing an advantage and cutting to the rim before skiing through the air to snag a pass for a contested alley-oop score in traffic. With the Bucks on the ropes and trailing by 10 mid-way through the third, this was among the plays that helped the Boston Celtics pull away, opening up a 16-point lead that ballooned even further in the fourth. Boston’s guard proved ready for the bright lights in a win-or-go-home game with an efficient 19-point, eight-rebound game, along with two steals and two triples to help ignite a 109-81 win on the way to the Eastern Conference Finals on May 15, 2022.

Jose Alvarado proves up to the challenge, putting the New York Knicks’ defense through a game of hide-and-seek. He uses a sharp behind-the-back before weaving through traffic and finishing with a fancy around-the-rim finish. Alvarado made good on his homecoming with an efficient 13-point, four-assist, four-steal performance in a 102-91 win for the New Orleans Pelicans on January 20, 2022.

Homegrown buckets hit different. In his NBA regular season debut, Chicago Bulls rookie guard Ayo Dosunmu goes on a tear for not one but two transition layups. The Chicago native and University of Illinois star wasted no time making an impact on October 20, 2021.

Klay Thompson may be one of the most feared shooters in NBA history, but he’s got other facets to his game he can contribute with as well. He showcases one here, leaking out on a fastbreak and facing a drive before dropping off a behind-the-back dish to a teammate for a score. Thompson played an all-around offensive game with 15 points, six assists and three triples in a 130-92 win over the Dallas Mavericks on January 25, 2022.

Forget everything you know about conventional basketball when Nikola Jokić hits the floor. The mesmerizing Denver Nuggets center defies positional norms yet again on January 7, 2022, seamlessly carrying the rock the length of the floor against the Sacramento Kings, then hitting JaMychal Green in stride with a casual no-look, one-handed entry feed. Jokić finished with 33 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in the win.

Pressure defense doesn't faze Jayson Tatum. The Boston Celtics star puts on a dribbling clinic in a series of maneuvers before losing his defender with a quick spin move and explosive finish at the hoop. Ball on a string. Tatum finished with 20 points in the November 1, 2021 contest against the Chicago Bulls.

The only thing as important as having a generational offensive talent? Having teammates around him that can hit big shots when their number is called. With momentum on their side in Game 3 and a chance to avoid a dreaded 3-0 deficit, Dallas Mavericks guard Reggie Bullock proves he’s up for the challenge, finding an open spot along the right corner, before rising up to hit the game-clinching triple to put the Phoenix Suns away for good. Bullock had the home crowd rocking throughout the 103-94 win on May 6, 2022, with 15 points (nine in a critical fourth quarter), four rebounds, four three-pointers, and three steals.

Up by one point with 10 seconds remaining, it was poetic that Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday needed to come up with a defensive stop against the recently appointed Defensive Player of the Year to save the game. Rotating over at the last second to defend a Marcus Smart layup attempt, the three-time All-Defensive Team talent shows his championship pedigree, sneaking into the play, getting both a block, and throwing the ball off his man to force an out of bounds play. That play —  and a game-winning steal just seconds later —  helped guide the Bucks to a 110-107 win to take a 3-2 edge over the Boston Celtics on May 11, 2022. Holiday had his fingerprints all over the box score with 24 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, four triples, two blocks and one steal.

Some rookies are just fearless from the jump. In his first regular season game with the Indiana Pacers, Chris Duarte attempts to lose his defender with a sidestep and a pump fake. With his man still on him and seconds left on the clock, Duarte pulls up for a jumper and beats the buzzer to nail a three, capping off an 11 point quarter. He shined in his debut with 27 points and five rebounds on October 20, 2021.

Whether he’s on offense or defense, if you lose track of Jaren Jackson Jr., chances are you might end up on a highlight clip. Showcasing his remarkable athleticism and defensive IQ, the Memphis Grizzlies big rotates over in two quick steps, sending a Golden State Warriors layup attempt in the other direction. With their season on the line and the Grizzlies without their All-Star, Jackson Jr. stepped up with one big play after another in a 134-95 Game 5 win on May 11, 2022.

When dealing with the Miami Heat, be prepared to pick your poison: follow their dead-eye shooters on a dribble hand-off or leave All-Star big Bam Adebayo open with a free lane to the basket. Working to help his team keep pace with the Philadelphia 76ers in the first quarter of Game 2, Adebayo calls his own number, speeding to the rim to beat a lax defense on the way to an explosive one-handed jam. This crowd-rocking dunk helped spark a 20-9 lead, a lead they would never again relinquish on the way to a 119-103 win and 2-0 series edge. Adebayo was the catalyst with 23 points, nine rebounds and three assists on May 4, 2022.

Few tasks are as mentally strenuous as defending Dallas Mavericks star Luka Dončić in isolation. Seeking to provide his team with a 3-1 lead in Game 4, Phoenix Suns big Deandre Ayton takes on the task like a pro, mirroring him step-for-step and stretching out to send a layup attempt in the other direction. Ayton put up 14 points and 11 rebounds in the hard-fought May 8, 2022 battle.

Dallas Mavericks guard Reggie Bullock provides a lesson in persistence here, missing on his first three-point attempt before draining it on his second chance to send the crowd into a frenzy with a clutch bucket. Bullock had a highlight game with 20 points, four rebounds and four triples to help his squad outlast the Philadelphia 76ers in a 107-98 win on February 4, 2022.

No matter the matchup, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has proven he’s confident he can score in any situation. Despite giving up size in an isolation against a Denver Nuggets big, Edwards takes him for a dance, working a mix of between-the-legs, in-and-out crossovers and hesitations before getting enough space to drain a stepback three-pointer. That was the story of the night, as Edwards exploded for 38 points, 10 three-pointers and five rebounds in a 124-107 win on December 15, 2021.

Catching the Orlando Magic sleeping on defense, big man Jock Landale shows off his IQ and vision, dropping a nifty dime to a teammate on a backdoor cut in his debut game on October 20, 2021.

With his team trailing 2-1, and knowing the defending Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns were anxious to kill their momentum, Dallas Mavericks forward Dorian Finney-Smith picked a perfect time to have one of the games of his life. Jogging behind a teammate, Finney-Smith takes advantage of the defense’s lack of aggression, steadying himself to drop in one of eight three-point daggers on the night, scaling the Mavericks’ 11-point lead to 14 and helping tie the series at 2-2. The 3-and-D wing was demonstrative on both ends of the floor with 24 points in a huge 111-101 win on May 8, 2022.

When you’re a rookie representing your hometown, the pressure can get to you. Just don’t tell that to 2021 Toronto Raptors draftee Dalano Banton. In his regular season debut, the Toronto native pulls up from halfcourt for three points... and his first ever NBA bucket.

Golden State Warriors center Kevon Looney flies in to corral a deflected rebound and has the presence of mind to finish a difficult layup, to help the Warriors take the lead, with under 14 seconds left to play. Looney had a strong outing in Golden State’s 102-100 victory over the Indiana Pacers on December 13, 2021 with 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a game-winning putback.

First-year Miami Heat center Omer Yurtseven catches a pass, backs his defender down toward the low post, then suddenly spins into a silky jumper with the poise of a vet. The rookie had eight points and three boards in his NBA debut – a victory over the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks – on October 21, 2022.

From a professional baseball player to a Slam Dunk Contest participant to a knockdown three-point shooter, 29-year old Pat Connaughton has had quite the career path. In a game against the young Indiana Pacers, Connaughton runs the break before receiving a lead bounce pass from teammate Grayson Allen and finishes off the transition with an easy dunk. The veteran guard came to play, dropping 20 points in a 114-99 win on December 15, 2021.

With his 37-inch vertical, 7-foot-5 wingspan and spirited play style, there are few things Indiana Pacers big Isaiah Jackson can’t do athletically. Creeping into the lane on a pick-and-roll, Jackson shows the San Antonio Spurs what that means, taking a pocket pass and rising up for a ferocious contact jam in traffic. In the series against the Philadelphia 76ers, Max Strus shared the floor with former league MVPs, MVP finalists, Sixth Men of the Year and multiple All-Stars. Even so, when the Miami Heat called on him for big plays, he was among the most impactful. With the series knotted at 2-2 and the Heat needing to restore power early, Strus turned in a masterful first quarter. Here, the Heat forward sneaks into the play late, providing an outlet for a teammate with a smooth three-pointer to open up a 12-point lead in the opening frame. Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden lulls his defender into a trance at the top of the key before utilizing his momentum against him with a crossover. Harden put on an offensive clinic in the December 27, 2021 win over the LA Clippers, erupting for 39 points, eight rebounds and a staggering 15 assists.

The Houston Rockets roster is laden with up-and-coming talent. Rookie Josh Christopher shows off his tough shot-making ability with a stepback triple against smothering defense. This trey marked the first field goal of Christopher's career. The Arizona State product notched five points in his NBA regular season debut on October 20, 2021.

The five-time All-Star blasts down the lane with three power dribbles and finishes through contact while also earning a trip to the charity stripe. Devin Booker has made his name as one of the NBA’s most proficient three-level scorers. In the 2021-22 season, he’s also playing passing lanes and stealing the ball at a career rate. In a cat-and-mouse game, the Phoenix Suns All-Star guard makes himself skinny to fight through a dribble handoff before using his intuition to turn back and get a steal for a reverse fastbreak jam. Booker ended with 18 points in a Phoenix Suns 112-100 win on November 2, 2021.

No mirror tricks here! Noted right-hander Andrew Wiggins exclusively uses his off-hand for a three-dribble combination and southpaw poster over forward Darius Bazley.

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard has a tight handle and creativity to break the defense down for open scoring opportunities. In a productive night against the Detroit Pistons, Pritchard charges hard to his right, then drops his man off with a nasty behind-the-back dribble and stepback jumper. The second-year playmaker finished with 19 points and six assists off the bench on February 26, 2022.

It didn’t take long for Markelle Fultz to get back to making an impression after nearly 14 months on the sidelines. In his first taste of official action since a knee injury ended his 2020-21 campaign, the Orlando Magic guard explodes into the paint against the Indiana Pacers then leaps through the air for an acrobatic up-and-under layup. Fultz racked up 10 points and six dimes on five-of-seven shooting in a cautiously limited 16-minute stint on February 28, 2022.

Calling his own number, the All-Star big man decides to work a rhythm dribble before calmly draining a stepback three-pointer in traffic. Embiid made history during the 123-110 win over the Orlando Magic on January 19, 2022, dropping in 50 points in just 27 minutes, the fastest in NBA history. 

The road team wants nothing more than to silence the home crowd in a tense moment. Robert Williams III did just that after diving hard to the basket, hammering home a lob from Jayson Tatum. Williams III tallied a double-double of 12 points & 16 rebounds (to go along with 3 blocks) in Boston's 140-129 double overtime shootout in Charlotte on October 25, 2021.

Even if you throw a couple of defenders at Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum, he’s still likely to drop a bucket on you. Tatum is met by multiple players beyond the three-point line, splits the screen with a left-handed dribble, gets in the lane and goes up for a powerful, two-handed slam. Tatum had one of the most complete outings of his career against the Washington Wizards on January 23, 2022, dropping a season-high 51 points along with 10 rebounds and seven assists. 

See an open lane and take it. With defensive attention zeroed in on Golden State Warriors teammate Steph Curry, versatile big man Draymond Green finds a clear path to the cup. It doesn’t take more than a split second for Green to decide what he wants to do: one hard dribble, two big steps and one monster hammer up and over the defense. Green registered a well-rounded line of eight points, eight boards and five dimes in the November 5, 2021 win over the visiting New Orleans Pelicans.

Hustle your way back to break up a transition play and, more often than not, great things will happen. Showing off his relentless motor, Boston Celtics forward Grant Williams speeds back on defense, pins a Denver Nuggets shot against the glass and saves an easy score. Williams chipped in eight points, two triples and a pair of blocks, his hustle plays proving critical in a 108-102 win on February 11, 2022.

If there's a lane to the basket, DeMar DeRozan is going to find it. The Chicago Bulls swingman puts his slashing ability on display in the waning seconds of a quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers, first blowing past his man out at the perimeter, picking up steam on his way through the paint, then finishing around the outstretched arms of a help-side defender. DeRozan put up 38 points in the road victory on November 15, 2021.

Tyler Herro does not shy away from the big Moments. The Miami Heat guard has zero hestiation in getting to his spot, taking his defender off the dribble, then hitting him with a stepback triple. Nothing but bottom. Herro chipped in with a team-high 30 points off the bench.

Court vision is an impressive quality in a rookie. Portland Trail Blazers neophyte Greg Brown III waits in the corner as teammate Ben McLemore catches a pass at the top of the key. The versatile Golden State Warriors swingman receives a pass from teammate Nemanja Bjelica, freezes the defense with a ball fake, then executes an on-point, behind-the-back pass to Bjelica for the lay-in. The NBA is filled with some of the world’s most talented scorers but few are as crafty as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard shows off his silky-smooth handle, freeing himself of tight defensive coverage with a between-the-legs, crossover combo before gathering into a hanging floater at the rim. It was business as usual for Gilgeous-Alexander, who finished with 33 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in a 130-109 win over the star-studded Brooklyn Nets on January 13, 2022.

The only thing more difficult than defending Kyrie Irving and his handle in the halfcourt? Trying to contain him on a fastbreak without a set defense. The Brooklyn Nets star guard shows off his defense-to-offense skills, snagging an errant pass and taking it coast-to-coast with a smooth finish against the Charlotte Hornets. Irving was a walking highlight on both ends on March 8, 2022, with 50 points on just 19 shots, six assists, a steal and a block in the 132-121 win.

Protect the paint at all costs. Houston Rockets rookie Usman Garuba flashes his defensive court awareness and athleticism, switching onto the ball handler, then recovering back to his man to swat away a dunk attempt. Miami is known for momentum-shifting plays. Bam Adebayo ignites the break with a feed to Tyler Herro, who lofts the perfect set up for Jimmy Butler's signature, two-handed slam. Jimmy finished with 36 points and 5 steals in the 107-90 victory against Orlando.

Dallas Mavericks big Maxi Kleber isn’t known for his above-the-rim game but with a free path down the lane defenses are at his mercy. Here, he takes off as a roll man in a pick-and-roll and snags a lob for an athletic one-handed slam. Lonzo Ball’s activity as a defender gives him a nice edge as a playmaker on the other end - when he gets out and runs, it’s usually followed by a perfect dime. Ball snatches the rock out of mid-air, rushes down the court with a couple of bounces, then drops a no-look, between-the-legs pass to a trailing Zach LaVine for the smooth finish. The Chicago Bulls guard finished with nine points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in a January 9, 2022 matchup with the Dallas Mavericks.

It hasn’t taken long for Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey’s offensive brilliance to earn the utmost respect from NBA defenses. Here, Maxey uses it to his advantage, drawing in a Detroit Pistons defender on a 3-on-1 fastbreak before whipping a behind-the-back pass to set up teammate Tobias Harris for a jam. Maxey had 16 points on just eight shots, and chipped in six rebounds and six assists in a 110-102 win on October 28, 2021.

Now just where did that man go? Toronto Raptors star Fred VanVleet gives Brooklyn Nets stars Patty Mills and James Harden windburn as he slips past their clutches like a ghost in the night. To top it all off, he drives to the basket, finishing a beautiful layup around the enormous outstretched arms of Kevin Durant. It’s yet another prime example of why VanVleet became an All-Star for the first time this season. The Raptors guard had 21 points and eight assists on November 7, 2021.

If there’s any opportunity for a lob, Los Angeles Lakers veteran center DeAndre Jordan will find a way to convert. This time, he initiates things with a head-nod and quick feed to Russell Westbrook, follows up with an even quicker dive to the rim and receives a beautiful return feed for his patented right-handed oop. DJ’s slam was part of a big night against the Charlotte Hornets on November 8, 2021.

When Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox is in attack mode, he commands a defense’s utmost attention. Fox uses that reputation to his advantage, getting an Oklahoma City Thunder big to leave his feet before taking to the rim, drawing in the entire defense, and skipping it back out to set up a teammate for a wide-open triple. Fox handled business with 29 points, 10 assists and two steals in a 131-110 victory on February 28, 2022.

If you get caught in a screen-and-roll against the Phoenix Suns, be prepared to give up some points, one way or another. Deandre Ayton shows one of those ways, rolling to the basket and slamming in a rim-shaking putback jam off a teammate’s miss. Ayton made his presence felt with 21 points, 21 rebounds and a block in the October 27, 2021.

Since joining the Toronto Raptors, Gary Trent Jr. has taken his game to an entirely new level. With the clock winding down, he shows off one of his tricks, taking a handoff pass before dribbling into a cold-blooded, one-legged deep three-pointer at the buzzer. Trent Jr. had threes in abundance against the Atlanta Hawks on January 31, 2022, finishing with 31 points, six rebounds and nine triples in a 106-100 victory.

More known for his world-class, dead-eye shooting from deep, Portland Trail Blazers All-Star guard Damian Lillard has to get creative to score past the 6-foot-8 Paul George. Channeling his inner post scorer, he pumps the brakes, spins, then lays out for an up-and-under. Lillard went for 27 points on November 9, 2021.

Anfernee Simons is a hooper. The third-year Portland Trail Blazers guard knows how to set up his defender with the rock in his hands. Simons hits a crossover going right, splits the defense and finishes a tough, contested runner that finds nothing but bottom. Simons poured in 17 points off the pine in the November 1, 2021 matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Calling his own number on a dribble handoff, the Cleveland Cavaliers big man decides to take flight, rising up in traffic over the San Antonio Spurs defense for a thunderous jam. Markkanen put in eight points and six rebounds, crucial in a 114-109 win on January 14, 2022.

The Golden State Warriors are well-known for their ability to light it up from deep, but they’ve also got players capable of flying high as well. Talented forward Juan Toscano-Anderson makes his name heard here, faking a dribble hand-off before taking off for a thunderous one-handed flush over the Philadelphia 76ers. Toscano-Anderson was a perfect six-of-six from the field, and finished with 13 points, six rebounds and six assists in a 116-96 blowout win on November 24, 2021.

Tyler Herro’s all-around game continues to evolve - the talented two guard has upped the ante in every aspect during his third year in the NBA. Herro notices a wide-open player on the break and perfectly times a beautiful block off the glass to prevent an easy score. Herro starred for the Miami Heat in their 115-91 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on January 12, 2022, finishing with 21 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds off the bench.
