A mesmerizing display of methodical aggression, when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander puts pressure on an opposing team’s defense, resistance is futile. Let loose against the Chicago Bulls on November 22, 2023, Gilgeous-Alexander bobbed his way through and around the paint, surveying options and punishing mistakes until he walked away with 40 points on 11-of-19 shooting. The increasingly multifaceted guard added 12 assists, three blocked shots and, more important than anything, an Oklahoma City Thunder victory.

Suiting up in his first NBA contest, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Jalen Hood-Schifino executes a halfcourt set with teammates, draws the attention of multiple defenders, then fires an assist in the opposite direction to D’Moi Hodge. Unfazed after a defender gets his hand on a pass, Milwaukee Bucks rookie Andre Jackson Jr. returns the favor with an interception of his own, then finds a teammate in the corner for the first assist of his NBA career. Taking advantage of an ultra-green light with his All-NBA teammate on the mend, Irving excelled as the lone star, lighting up the scoreboard for an efficient 44-point performance, including a breathtaking 26-point second half. With evasive length and contagious creativity, the 2023 NBA All-Star is a constant threat to either dole out an unexpected no-look dime or simply pull-up from deep for his own bucket. Haliburton led all scorers on the winning team in a mind-numbing 157-152 slugfest on November 21, 2023, turning heads with 37 points and 16 assists.
