Faced with the imposing task of needing 26 to force a four-way tiebreaker, Lillard survives it by heating up in the middle and then again late, draining his final four shots with ice-in-vein fashion before following it up with a red-hot 16-point outing in the 30-second tiebreaker. Then, with the stakes raised higher in the final round, the defending champion brings both the crowd and the competition to its feet, fittingly using the final shot to win the event with 26 points. A force to be reckoned with throughout the weekend in Indiana, Lillard’s display on February 17, 2024 made him the first repeat 3-Point Contest winner since 2008.
