Then, in the right place at the right time along that infamous left corner, the fourth-year swingman provides his teammate with an outlet, cutting to the rim for an and-one finish. Inputted into the statsheets with an jaw-dropping five points over a six-second span, Nesmith helped Indiana balloon their lead into a 15-point advantage on the way to a convincing Game Seven win over the banged-up Knicks on May 19, 2024. Nesmith couldn’t have been more accurate in his judgments during the series clincher, overwhelming the Knicks’ defense with 19 points — on a perfect 100 percent shooting — along with four rebounds, one steal, and a pair of 3-point makes.
