Seeking to become the first repeat champions in two decades, Candace Parker and the Chicago Sky were seeking extra points anywhere they could be found. Trailing the Connecticut Sun 1-0 in a best-of-five semifinals series, the seven-time All-Star and All-WNBA First Team selection catches a pass from a teammate and buries a straightaway triple despite drawing a foul on the play. While the Sun would ultimately go on to win the series in five games, it wasn’t due to lackluster play from Parker, who helped the Sky even the series by posting 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and three blocks in an 85-77 victory on August 31, 2022.
