Forty-four years later, with an 18-point second-half lead whittled to one with under four minutes remaining in Game 7, Tyrese Maxey demanded the ball and attacked. The fourth-year guard sliced into the lane for a dagger layup with roughly a minute to play, the punctuation on a personal 8-0 run that sealed Philadelphia's 109-100 road victory at TD Garden on May 2, 2026. Maxey finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists on 11-of-18 shooting.
