Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers had a simple yet effective strategy: get the ball to Anthony Davis and get out of the way. Davis was in the zone all night against the Washington Wizards as he showcased his chemistry with LeBron James on a pair of dazzling alley-oops. On the rare occasion the eight-time All-Star missed a close-range attempt, he used his strength and willpower to grab the offensive board and convert a put-back slam with authority. Davis connected on 22 of 30 field goal attempts for 55 points along with 17 rebounds and three blocks in the 130-119 win on December 4, 2022. It marked the fifth time in his career that he scored 50 points or more in a game. In 2023, Davis became the first player since the 1973-74 season to record 35 points, 20 boards, five steals and five blocks in a game and also became the first Lakers player to have multiple 30-20 games in a season since 2004.
