Hungry for their first win in five home games, the New York Knicks took their frustration out on the defensive end against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks exert pressure from the start, using relentless team defense that leads to a Jalen Brunson baseline block of Donovan Mitchell, while Quentin Grimes and Mitchell Robinson take turns hounding Darius Garland with a steal and block, respectively. Grimes also comes up with a steal on Kevin Love, and RJ Barrett ensures Caris LeVert can’t get into a rhythm with a timely theft. All told, the Knicks broke their skid tallying six steals and three blocks while forcing 17 turnovers. The Cavs made just eight of their 35 three-point attempts as the victorious Knicks held them to a season-low output in both field goal percentage and points in the 92-81 December 4, 2022 contest.
