At 7-foot-3, and with the on-court IQ and athleticism to match, Bol Bol is unlikely to ever come face-to-face with a defense he can’t see over the top of. Initially camped along the floor’s weak side with the play clock — and a well-connected Denver Nuggets defense — quickly becoming the enemy, Bol Bol pieces the puzzle together, using a convincing drive to disposition both Jalen Pickett and Zeke Nnaji. Clever in his method of hitting a now-uncovered teammate, Bol works a behind-the-back dime through traffic, keeping first quarter fireworks flying through a highlight 3-point assist. A proven stat sheet stuffer when given the requisite opportunities, Bol, even in defeat, kickstarted a soon-to-be-memorable February by piecing together 19 points (on 8-of-17 shooting), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, four swats, and three 3-pointers.
