Knowing victory to only be a few well-executed plays away, the two-time Olympian moves with coolness during a chaotic possession, brake-pumping her way into a snatchback dribble before burying a clutch jumper over Odyssey Sims. Young’s champion-like poise helped the Las Vegas Aces open a 12-point advantage in the final three-and-a-half-minutes, momentum that eventually led to triumph over Los Angeles. Back healthy, and eager to make a statement during the new season’s first month, Young paired her eye-opening scoring output with elite efficiency (11-of-22 shooting), alongside three assists, two steals, and three triples.
