Jaden Hardy doesn’t care how much taller you are than him. The 6-foot-3 Hardy’s eyes lit up when he found himself in an isolation matchup with 7-footer Jaxson Hayes, as a determined Hardy rumbled into the paint and threw down a massive dunk on the New Orleans Pelicans reserve center. The posterization of Hayes was part of an efficient night for the Dallas Mavericks rookie guard, who shot 4 of 5 from the field and 2 of 3 from downtown for 11 points and two assists in 17 minutes off the bench on March 8, 2023. It was a successful first season for the second-round pick, who averaged 8.8 points per game and shot better than 40 percent behind the 3-point line across 48 contests.
