Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards locked in early and never relented. The three-time All-Star set the tone for a sizzling offensive night against the Detroit Pistons as his first bucket of the game was preceded by some dazzling dribbles at the expense of R.J. Hampton, who could not keep up as Beal finished the possession with a made baseline jumper. The Wizards built a 22-point first quarter lead and never looked back in large part thanks to Beal, who shot 13 of 15 from the field for 36 points along with six rebounds and seven assists in the 117-97 victory on March 14, 2023.
