P.J. Washington

P.J. Washington has become a more complete player with each passing game. The fourth-year Charlotte Hornets forward averaged a career-best 15.7 points per game in 2022-23, but an impressive sequence against the Dallas Mavericks proved that Washington had more on his mind than just scoring. First he chased down an in-transition Jaden Hardy to block the rookie’s layup attempt and then made another selfless play on the other end with a heads-up dish to a backdoor-cutting Gordon Hayward for an uncontested lay-in. Washington’s 21 points, 12 rebounds and four assists guided the Hornets to a 110-104 win on March 26, 2023.
