Antetokounmpo put forth a sterling effort on the defensive end too and was rewarded for his hustle when he picked off a careless pass and turned it into a fast-break windmill slam. Antetokounmpo scored 55 points on 20 of 33 from the field while also converting all but one of his 16 free throws. He also posted 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals in a 123-113 Milwaukee Bucks victory on January 3, 2023 — the sixth time the Greek Freak has reached the 50-point mark. Antetokounmpo averaged a career-best 31.1 points per game and finished third in MVP voting, the sixth consecutive season he received votes and his fourth time finishing in the top-three.
