Many ties have been shared between the Miami Heat and their San Francisco-based Western Conference foes in recent weeks; during 2025’s Starry 3-Point Contest, though, Tyler Herro had only victories in mind. Herro’s recipe for success proved poetic to his team name, as he used a well-timed heatwave to collect 19 points in the first round, surviving a somewhat-slow start. Narrowly squeaking into the three-player finale had its perks, as Herro set the standard with 24 points — highlighted by a pair of faraway buckets from “Starry Range,” — a number neither of his competitors could surpass on February 15, 2025. Overcoming both back-to-back champions and hometown heroes alike, Herro became the fifth player in the Miami Heat’s history to conquer the 3-Point Shootout stage, giving them the most franchise wins throughout its 39-year existence. 24 hours later, Herro contributed six points to Team Kenny during the 2025 All-Star Game, leaving the weekend as one worth cherishing.
