Dearica Hamby stole the show in the third quarter. The Los Angeles Sparks forward caught Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings napping as Hamby snuck up from behind to dislodge the ball before racing the length of the court to turn her steal into a fast break layup. Hamby poured in 14 of her game-high 23 points in a decisive third quarter in which the Sparks increased their lead to double digits entering the fourth quarter before limiting the Wings to just 10 points in the final frame. For the game Hamby shot 10 of 15 while mixing in eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in her squad’s 79-61 road win on June 14, 2023.
